We love sharing the skills we have learned over the years with friends old and new. We teach all levels of knitting and crochet (and sometimes other fun, fiber-based crafts).
Our instructors are experienced educators and wool-workers. They have taught many entertaining classes in both knitting and crochet and are eager to help.

LESSONS
Lessons are one-on-one sessions for either beginners or to get you started, or re-started, on a specific project. We also offer "help" lessons, scheduled for one hour, when you need more than just a quick fix.

We offer a course of three one-hour sessions that will teach you everything you need to know. Trudy is our very-experienced instructor who has taught hundreds of students to knit.

Learn to crochet in a one hour lesson that will teach you all the basics to get you started crocheting. Jane has fabulous crochet skills and loves sharing her talents with her students.

Knitting lessons are scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays; call to schedule your appointment. Twice a year we host a Saturday group beginning class. Please see our schedule for dates.

Crochet lessons are scheduled individually with the instructor.

Pop-Ins

Classes are offered on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 11 am. These are project-based sessions to teach a specific technique or skill. Skill prerequisites are required for classes. Please see class schedule and description for more details.

Workshops are also scheduled for Saturday mornings 9am to 11am or 12pm, and are scheduled for two or three Saturdays. These sessions teach a more advanced technique using a specific project. Prerequisites are required; see workshop schedule and descriptions for details.

Pop-ins are a fun opportunities to learn a specific technique at no cost!! These are held on Saturdays; stop by anytime throughout the day and we'll show you a specific skill that will enhance your knitting and crochet skills. Please see the schedule for more details.

Cost for project lessons, and “Help” sessions, is $12.00 an hour.
Please note:
All lessons, classes and workshops are subject to cancellation at Red Bug’s discretion.
Registration and prepayment are required in advance for all classes and workshops. Lessons may be paid at the scheduled time but no-shows or cancellations without 24 hour notice will be charged the full cost of the lesson
Refunds for student cancellations are offered with 24 hour prior notice.
All our learning sessions are taught using yarns purchased from our shop.
